I have always been drawn to the space where people begin to understand themselves differently. Not as broken. Not as too much. Not as failing. But as someone whose story makes sense — and who may be capable of far more than they once believed.
Everyone comes to therapy for a different reason, in a different season of life. Sometimes you know the story behind the struggle. Other times, you only know the symptoms — the anxiety, the sadness, the exhaustion, the disconnection, or the tension in your body. Therapy gives us a place to slow down and try to make sense of it all.
I work with young children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, and I value the different rhythm each stage of life brings into therapy. Children often communicate through play, creativity, and behavior. Adolescents need room to be heard. Adults often need space to pause, reflect, and be honest about what life has become.
To work with me is to have someone sit with you in the complexity of your story — not rushing to label it, minimize it, or tie it up neatly. I care deeply about understanding people, and I tend to think deeply about what they bring into the room. I want clients to feel genuinely seen and honored, not just for who they are becoming, but for what they have survived, carried, questioned, and hoped for along the way.
I am deeply invested in finding the interventions that best fit the person in front of me. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, person-centered therapy, strengths-based approaches, Internal Family Systems-informed concepts, sand tray therapy, and am working through training for EMDR. The heart of my approach is not fitting you into a model. It is using the right tools to help you better understand yourself, build insight, and create meaningful change.
Outside of the office I am happiest near the water or a ballfield or traveling with my husband and kids. I also love coaching kids, especially my own. Being part of teams throughout my life has taught me lessons I carry into nearly every part of who I am. I love guiding the next generation and being part of the moments when they are figuring out who they are, what they are capable of, and how to keep going when faced with adversity.
I provide counseling services in Kearney, Nebraska, and offer telehealth therapy throughout Nebraska for young children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
