Substance Use Evaluations

Elevate Counseling & Consulting provides comprehensive substance use evaluations for individuals who need a professional assessment of their alcohol or drug use. Evaluations may be requested by an attorney, court, probation officer, employer, licensing board, treatment provider, or completed for personal insight and treatment planning.

The evaluation process includes a clinical interview, review of relevant history, standardized screening tools, and consideration of how substance use may be affecting relationships, employment, legal concerns, health, and daily functioning. When appropriate, collateral information or supporting records may also be reviewed.

Following the evaluation, clients receive clear clinical recommendations based on their individual needs. Recommendations may include education, outpatient counseling, substance use treatment, additional assessment, community support, or no further services when clinically appropriate.

Our goal is to provide an evaluation that is thorough, objective, respectful, and focused on helping each person understand what comes next. We recognize that being required to complete an evaluation can feel uncomfortable or stressful, and we work to make the process as straightforward and nonjudgmental as possible.

Substance use evaluations are available by appointment. Clients should bring any court documents, referral paperwork, legal records, or other requested information to the evaluation.
